cozy warm place with descent food

Excellent hippie-esquire atmosphere, wooden fire stoves, and local craft beer. I had the “Father’s curry†with cream korokke. Very filling, good side pickles, a good spot to fill up after a snowy day.

Fantastic place to kick back next to the fire after a day on snow or just relax with some coffee and cake. Large range of bottled beers and local handcrafts on offer. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Book in advance if you are a large group as it's often busy. The beef stew on rice hot pot is sensational... and I recommend the Yamagata beef skewers as well.

Excellent cafe food at decent prices. I would give this establishment 5 stars for the ambience, and another 5 stars for food and service. Very attentive staff, delicious food. Best place to chill and read a book on a rest day if you are not skiing or snowboarding. Having tried the other cafes, this one wins them all in terms of ambience.

Highly recommended restaurant!! The food was amazing, super unique (more than Japanese dishes), and so tasty. The staff were super friendly and so accommodating with our 1yo.
